As a prime destination for events, we are committed to ensuring that every visitor, business guest, and employee who walks through our doors is safe. We now live in extraordinary times, so on top of our usual standard procedures, we have introduced extraordinary measures that have become our new normal.
This page will show you the significant changes we've made to the way we host events and live shows at Resorts World Genting. From restructuring our venue layout to enforcing safety protocols at every point of contact, the measures we apply today are designed for the future of our events together.
We comply with the safe practices of social distancing according to the guidelines set by the local authorities.
Reduced capacity for more personal space
We have reduced the capacity of our meeting rooms and show venues according to the recommended measurements. Tables are at least 2-metre apart and seats are alternated with at least a 1-metre space apart. All visitors or attendees of any events must maintain a distance of 1-metre from each other at all times.
Clear communication on the floor
We have reorganised the crowd movement at our venues to help guests maintain safe distancing. For example, you may find a one-way traffic flow for entry and exiting a premise. We use floor markers or signage to control high traffic areas, such as entrances, exits, and queues. We also deploy Social Ambassadors to offer guidance on the ground.
We enforce strict guidelines to ensure our guests, employees, and community are taken care of to the best of our ability.
Temperature screening and contact tracing
We will check the body temperature of all visitors, and we will not admit anyone with a temperature of 37.5°C or higher. Details of every entry are recorded according to the requirements set by the authorities. We encourage using the MySejahtera mobile app to record your visit by scanning the location QR code. Those who are unable to scan the QR code will register their details in the logbook.
Masks are mandatory throughout the event
Wearing face masks is mandatory in crowded public places in Malaysia. We will refuse entry to any visitor or event attendee who does not wear a face mask. For your convenience, face masks are available for sale at major entrances or you may approach any of our Social Ambassadors for assistance.
Protection for vulnerable age groups
To keep high-risk age groups safe, we do not encourage children under 12 years old and senior citizens above 60 years old to participate in crowded events.
Sanitizers are available for free
We provide sanitizing gel at entrances and strategic locations such as countertops. We also equip our washrooms with anti-bacterial hand soaps. We support frequent washing or sanitizing of hands in line with the recommendations by the Ministry of Health.
Frequent sanitization of high-touch surfaces
Our team has increased the frequency of cleaning and disinfection of our premises. Greater emphasis is given on high-touch surfaces such as door handles, lift buttons, front desks, business equipment at common areas, washrooms, handrails, and lockers. Venues will be thoroughly cleaned and disinfected before and after events.
We train our team with the latest responses to the COVID-19 situation and carry out stringent standard operating procedures for daily work and emergencies.
Greeting from our heart
Instead of handshakes, we will greet you by placing our right hand over our heart. There is no physical contact, but we want you to know that we are happy to serve you.
Compulsory daily health report
Our employees will check and record their body temperatures each time they report to the workplace. Employees who have left the resort are required to complete a thorough Self-Declaration Form detailing their travel and health history upon their return. Any employees who show flu-like symptoms will not be allowed to serve you but are reported for immediate medical attention instead.
Using protective equipment
We remind our employees to practise good personal hygiene, such as frequent washing of hands and wearing masks. Those who handle food would wear gloves and mouth covers, while those who serve you in the frontline would maintain a safe distance according to guidelines.
All events held at our event spaces will adhere to the social distancing guideline, below are some example of recommended seating arrangements:
