  • How is the new Genting Rewards programme better?

    The new programme rewards members for all their spend at the resort in a transparent and easy to understand way. Whether you are a gaming or a non-gaming member, you will be able to enjoy the same benefits across the resort, at the same tier level. We’ve also upgraded the benefits and rewards across tiers to reward members more for their loyalty. By participating in this programme, members will be able to earn and redeem at all participating outlets at the Resort.

    When will the new Loyalty Programme begin?

    The new loyalty programme will take effect on May 1, 2017.

    Will I be charged any fees for the renewal of my Loyalty Card?

    No, you will not be charged any fees for your new loyalty card under this programme.

    What are Tier Points (TP)?

    Tier Points are used to determine your membership tier status on an annual basis. Tier Points earned in a calendar year will be used to determine your membership status for the next calendar year. If you qualify for an upgrade, this change in status is reflected immediately in the same calendar year, and also applies for the next calendar year. Tier Points have no monetary value and cannot be used in lieu of cash.

    How do I earn Tier Points?

    Tier Points can be earned resort-wide through gaming and non-gaming activities. For every Genting Point earned in a calendar year, you will earn an equivalent Tier Point.

    Do I earn Tier Points from RP conversion transactions?

    No, Tier Points are earned resort-wide through gaming and non-gaming activities only.

    When does the Tier Points system take effect?

    Tier points will retroactively take effect as of January 2017. For all Genting Points earned between January 1, 2017 and April 30, 2017, equivalent Tier Points will be added to your account on May 1 2017. Therefore, the Tier Points you earn in 2017 will include all qualifying gaming and non-gaming spend for the full calendar year.

    Will my Tier Points expire?

    Tier Points are only applicable for the calendar year in which they are earned, and will reset to 0 at the beginning of each year.

    What will happen to Tier Points at the end of the year?

    Since Tier Points are earned on an annual basis, your Tier Points will automatically reset to zero on January 1 of every calendar year. This does not impact your Genting Points.

    Why is the Tier Point system being implemented?

    Tier Points enable us to better track and reward our members with premium benefits, perks, and exclusive privileges.

    How do I earn Genting Points?

    We appreciate your interest in the Genting Rewards programme. To earn Genting Points (GP), use your Genting Rewards card in your purchase of hotel room, food and beverage, transport, entertainment, shopping or when you see outlets displaying “Genting Rewards Accepted Here” sticker or signs at the resort. You will be awarded with 1GP for every RM100 spent at participating outlets. Please note that GP is awarded based on cash or credit card purchases only. Your Genting Rewards card must be presented at the time of purchase in order to earn GP.

    Are my Genting Points still valid after May 2017?

    Yes, any Genting Points balance in your account on May 1, 2017 will be carried forward and can be used to redeem for products and rewards.

    Where can I redeem products using my Genting Points?

    You can use your Genting Points at the Resorts World Genting at all participating outlets.

    Will my Genting Points expire?

    Yes, they will expire in three years’ time without any earning transaction performance.

    If I spend and use my Genting Points for redemption, will my Tier Points be deducted as well?

    No, your Tier Points will not be deducted as they have no monetary value and only determine your membership tier status.

    Will I lose my Rewards Points (RP)?

    No, any Rewards Points in your account on May 1, 2017 will be automatically converted to Genting Points (GP) at the ratio of 100 RP = 1 GP.

    What happens to my Rewards Points after the launch of the new loyalty programme?

    Any Rewards Points in your account on May 1, 2017 will be automatically converted to Genting Points (GP) at the ratio of 100 RP = 1 GP.

    When will I be notified of the conversion of Rewards points?

    Conversion of Rewards Points to Genting Points will start from May 1, 2017. You will begin to see this change reflected in your account a few days following this, and you will receive subsequent communications to notify you of this update.

    What will my card status be once the loyalty programme launches in May 2017?

    Your card status will remain the same as of the launch date unless you qualify for the next level.

    Will card status have to be earned every year?

    Yes, SkySilver and SkyGold status has to be earned every year. Once you qualify for the next level you will be automatically upgraded.

    I have a supplementary card for my spouse. Will the status of the supplementary card change if there is a change in my card tier?

    All supplementary cards are tied to the status of the primary card and will change in status if the primary card’s status has changed.

    How do I get upgraded?

    Once you achieve the required Tier Points for the next level, your status will be automatically upgraded. You may approach any Membership Counter to receive your upgraded card. Kindly login to the website/mobile app/kiosk to check your status.

    If I get upgraded, will my Genting Points be transferred to my new card status?

    Yes, all of your points will be transferred to your new card type. The validity of your Tier Points will continue for the same calendar year.

    I have received notification to be upgraded to the next tier. Will I be automatically upgraded?

    No, your status will not be automatically upgraded. Kindly approach our 24-hour membership counters to verify your profile and proceed with your upgrading.

    What is a SkyCard?

    Part of the new Genting Rewards Programme, SkyCards cater to members who are underage (i.e. below 21), Malaysian Muslims, as well as to those that do not want to game in the resort casinos. Similar to the Classic, Silver, and Gold cards for the gaming members, the SkyProgramme has SkyClassic, SkySilver, and SkyGold cards for non-gaming members.

    If I am under 21 years of age, can I apply for a Classic Card?

    You cannot apply for a Classic Card if you are under the age of 21. You are eligible to apply for a SkyClassic Card if you are under 21 years old.

    After I turn 21, do I continue using the SkyClassic Card?

    Yes, after you turn 21 you can continue using your SkyClassic Card. If you wish to game in a resort casino after turning 21, you will need to switch over to a Casino Card. Any Genting Points balance on your SkyCard will be transferred over to the new Card.

    I am in the SkyProgramme. Do I receive fewer benefits than the same tier in the gaming programme?

    Your benefits for SkyClassic, SkySilver and SkyGold are similar to those of the gaming programme. The only exception is the SkyProgramme does not offer gaming related benefits (e.g. access to VIP gaming rooms).

    I’ve received notification to be upgraded to the next tier. Will I be automatically upgraded?

    No, your new membership tier would not be automatically reflected in the system. Kindly approach our 24-hour membership counters to verify your profile and to proceed with your upgrading.

    Is there any age requirement?

    Yes, you must be 18 years of age or older at the time of sign up.

    How can I sign up?

    You may sign up through the following options:

    a) at any Genting Rewards Card Centres or membership counters
    b) through online
    c) through RWG (Genting) mobile app

    If you sign up through online or the mobile app, make sure that you fill out all the mandatory fields. Please note that your password must consist of 8-15 alphanumeric characters.

    How do I sign in to my account?

    You will be prompted to sign in with the following options:

    a) your Facebook account
    b) your membership ID and PIN No
    c) your email address and password

    Effective 26.04.2018, all members who sign in with their membership ID and PIN No will be prompted to update their unique email address and password which they will use for any subsequent sign-ins.

    After a member has submitted his/her email address and password online, an email will be sent to his/her email for verification purposes. He/she must click on the “Activate my account” link to activate his/her new sign in credentials within seven (7) days from the day the email was sent.

    How to use fingerprint to sign in via RWG mobile app?

    If your device can support Touch ID or fingerprint authentication, then a message will appear to prompt you to “Enable Fingerprint Sign In” or “Cancel”. If you proceed to “Enable Fingerprint Sign In”, you will be requested to authenticate your fingerprint with Genting Rewards so that your account can be linked to your fingerprint. Once this step is completed, your subsequent sign in will be authenticated via your fingerprint.

    How do I sign in with Facebook?

    You just need to click/tap “Continue with Facebook” in the “Sign In” page. You will need to enter your Facebook username and password if you are not signed into Facebook yet. If the email address you use for Facebook matches your Genting Rewards username/email address, you will be automatically signed in or redirected to your Genting Rewards account.

    How do I change/reset my password?

    You can change your password online anytime if you

    a) have registered a valid email address with us and
    b) can still sign in to your current account

    After signing in to your account on the website, click “View My Account” and you will be redirected to the “Profile” page. Click on “Reset Password” to proceed to change your password. Please note that your password must consist of 8-15 alphanumeric characters.

    What if I forgot my password?

    Just go to our “Sign In” page and click/tap on “Forgot Password”. You must enter the email address that you have registered with us and a reset password link will be sent to your email account.

    Genting Malaysia Berhad (Company No. 58019-U) (“GENM”) Genting Rewards Loyalty Programme (“Programme”) is governed by the Terms and Conditions set out herein (“Terms and Conditions”). By submitting an application for membership to the Programme (“Application”), you are deemed to have accepted these Terms and Conditions.

    MEMBERSHIP
    1.Individuals aged 18 years and above are eligible to apply for membership to the Programme.

    2.Casino-related membership are only applicable to those aged 21 years and above and are not: (a) Companies, partnerships, trading companies, sole proprietors, societies and any other types of incorporated or unincorporated body; (b) Malaysian Muslims; or (c) such other persons or groups of persons excluded from casino-related membership as determined by GENM from time to time.

    3.A valid government-issued photo identification document(s) (e.g. Malaysian NRIC, or Passport) must be presented when submitting the Application. Applicants must produce such photo identification document(s) specifically required by GENM.

    4.The approval of the Application and subsequent grant of membership to the Programme is at the sole and absolute discretion of GENM.

    GENTING REWARDS CARD
    5.Upon the approval of the Application, Members will each be issued with a membership card to the Programme ("Genting Rewards Card") which can be used to collect and redeem reward points (“Genting Points”) and gain tier points (“Tier Points”) when purchasing goods and/or services from merchants participating in the Programme (“Merchants”).

    6.The Genting Rewards Card is personal to and can only be used by the Member to whom the Genting Rewards Card was issued to.

    7.Each transaction for the collection and/or redemption of benefits and privileges of a Member may only be attributed to their respective membership account. Combining membership accounts for the collection and/or redemption of benefits and privileges is prohibited. Members in breach of this clause may have their benefits and privileges revoked and membership terminated.

    8.Each Member can only hold one (1) type of Genting Rewards Card.

    9.The Genting Rewards Card may be declined by GENM and/or the Merchants if it: (a) has expired; (b) is invalid; (c) was reported lost or stolen; (d) is damaged; (e) does not carry the signature of the Member to whom the Genting Rewards Card was issued to; (e) has been altered, defaced, re-printed or re-embossed; or (f) contains other irregularities on its surface. The Genting Rewards Card can also be declined if Members fail to present a valid government-issued photo identification document when requested by GENM and/or the Merchants. GENM may revise or introduce additional policies and restrictions on use and acceptance of the Genting Rewards Card from time to time.

    GENTING POINTS AND TIER POINTS
    10.Any and all Genting Points, Tier Points and any other benefits and privileges collected, accumulated and acquired by individual Members (“Comps”) are not transferable to another member and/or the Member’s estate, successors or assignees. Any transfer, sale, purchase, trade, barter or other similar dealings with their Comps is prohibited. Members in breach of this clause may have their Comps forfeited and membership terminated.

    11.GENM will disclose or explain the calculation methods relating to the Genting Points, Tier Points and accumulation and acquisition of any other Comps to the extent they are not protected by confidentiality or is a trade secret of GENM or a third party.

    12.GENM may revise the rate, validity period and expiry of the Genting Points, Tier Points and any other Comps from time to time.

    13.GENM does not warrant that the Genting Point and Tier Point system and solution is uninterrupted, timely, secure or free from any defects or error.

    14.Genting Points and Tier Points are not exchangeable with cash.

    15.Save and except where it is solely due to GENM’s default or misconduct, there will be no refund of Genting Points utilized for redemption once such redemption transaction had been completed.

    LOST/STOLEN CARD
    16.Members must immediately notify GENM if their Genting Rewards Card is lost or stolen. A penalty will be imposed by GENM for replacing lost or stolen Genting Rewards Card. Such penalty may be paid in cash or by deducting Genting Points from the Member’s account.

    SUPPLEMENTARY CARD
    17.Members may apply for ONE (1) supplementary Genting Rewards Card (“Supplementary Card”) for their lawful spouse (“Supplementary Member”).

    18.Approval of the application for and subsequent grant of the Supplementary Card to Supplementary Members are at the sole and absolute discretion of GENM.

    19.Supplementary Members are subject to the same rules and restrictions as the primary Member in these Terms and Conditions and the primary Member shall ensure that the Supplementary Member reads, understands and agrees to these Terms and Conditions before applying for a Supplementary Card.

    20.Supplementary Members may not necessarily enjoy the same Tier Point level benefits as the primary Genting Rewards Members. Supplementary Members are otherwise subjected to the same Comps as the primary Genting Rewards Members .

    21.The Supplementary Members membership is suspended, expires or terminates if the primary Genting Rewards Members membership is suspended, expires or terminates.

    MEMBERSHIP SUSPENSION/TERMINATION
    22.GENM will notify Members if their membership has been suspended or terminated by GENM.

    23.During suspension of the membership, the suspended Members will not be able to enjoy any and all of the rights, benefits and privileges given to them regardless of whether or not such rights, benefits and privileges were requested prior to the suspension period to be enjoyed during the suspension period.

    24.Upon termination of the membership, the terminated Member shall cease to enjoy any and all of the rights, benefits and privileges previously given to them on and from the termination date regardless of whether or not such rights, benefits and privileges were requested prior to the termination date to be enjoyed after the termination date.

    PERSONAL DATA
    25.By submitting the application for membership to the Programme, applicants and Members acknowledge, agree and consent to processing of their personal information in accordance with the GENM personal data processing statement available at https://www.rwgenting.com/privacy-policy/.

    26.Members also expressly acknowledge, agree and consent to receiving advertising, marketing, promotional and informational communications from GENM, its affiliates and business partners.

    LIABILITY
    27.To the extent permitted by law: (a) in no event is GENM liable to the Members, Supplementary Members and/or any third parties for any loss or injury or any special, direct, indirect, incidental, exemplary or consequential loss, penalty, damage, costs and expenses (including but not limited to legal costs) (“Claim”) which may be incurred or suffered by Members, Supplementary Members and/or third parties as a result of or arising directly or indirectly in connection with the membership to the Programme and/or use of the Genting Rewards Card (including the Supplementary Card); and (b) if GENM is found liable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the liabilities of GENM for any cause whatsoever and regardless of the form of action shall be limited to Ringgit Malaysia One Hundred (RM100).

    28.Members shall be liable to GENM for any Claim which may be incurred or suffered by GENM as a result of or arising directly or indirectly from any breach on the part of the Members in complying and observing these Terms and Conditions. GENM may deduct the equivalent value of the Claim in Genting Points as settlement (or partial settlement) of the Claim.

    MISCELLANEOUS
    29. No delay or failure on GENM’s part in exercising any right, power or remedy under these Terms and Conditions shall operate as a waiver of such right, power or remedy.

    30.These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Malaysia and the parties agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

    31.GENM reserves the right to review and revise these Terms and Conditions at any time.

    32.The English version of these Terms and Conditions shall prevail over other versions.
