  • Guard Your Card / Account: Always store your Genting Rewards card in a secure place because it's your unique identity.
  • Shield Your PIN: When entering your PIN, always cover the keypad and be aware of your surroundings.
  • Strengthen Your Password: Create a strong and unique password by including letters, numbers, and symbols for your Genting Rewards membership account. If possible, do change your password periodically,

🚫 THINGS TO AVOID:

  • NEVER Share Your PIN/Password: This is extremely important. Do NOT disclose your PIN or password to anyone, not even close friends or family. It must remain strictly confidential.
  • Avoid Insecure Communication: Do NOT share your PIN or password via email, instant messaging apps, phone calls, SMS, or any other unsecured method. We will never ask for your PIN/password through these channels.
  • Your Card, Your Responsibility: Do NOT pass your Genting Rewards card to others for use. You are fully responsible for preventing any misuse. Failure to do so could lead to unpredictable consequences, including the termination of your membership.

RWG Web
Step 1: Log in to your Resorts World Genting (RWG) Web: click here and navigate to the Account icon.
Step 2: Select “Kill Switch” under Account Details.
Step 3: Read the FAQ to understand how the Kill Switch works. Select the reason for blocking your membership card and click Next.
Step 4: Review the Block Card Confirmation message. If you wish to proceed, click “Yes, Block Card”. To cancel the request, click “Cancel”.
Step 5: A confirmation message will be displayed, showing that your membership card has been successfully blocked together with the selected reason, registered email address, and mobile number.

RWG App
Step 1: Log in to the RWG App and tap “Kill Switch” on the Home page. Alternatively, go to Profile > Settings > Kill Switch. 
Step 2: Read the FAQ to understand how the Kill Switch works. Select the reason for blocking your membership card and tap Next.
Step 3: Review the Block Card Confirmation message. If you wish to proceed, tap “Yes, Block Card”. To cancel the request, tap “Cancel”.
Step 4: A confirmation message will be displayed, confirming that your membership card has been successfully blocked together with the selected reason, registered email address, and mobile number.

What Happens After You Activate the Kill Switch?         

  • Your Genting Rewards membership card will be temporarily blocked immediately.
  • Confirmation SMS and email will be sent to your registered mobile number and email address
  • You can check the current status of your membership card anytime by accessing the Kill Switch page on the RWG Web or RWG App.

No. You can activate the Kill Switch anytime directly via the RWG App or RWG website.

You should activate the Kill Switch if:

  • Your membership card is lost
  • You notice unauthorised transactions
  • You suspect fraudulent activity on your account

Once activated:

  • Your membership card will be blocked immediately
  • All benefits and redemptions will be suspended
  • A confirmation email and SMS will be sent to you

What benefits will be suspended?

The following will be temporarily unavailable:

  • Genting Points (GP) redemption
  • eCash and Genting Electronic Money (GEM) usage
  • All complimentary offers, including but not limited to voucher/ evoucher redemptions
  • Cash or credit card room bookings remain acceptable. Payment using Genting Points (GP) is not permitted during the Kill Switch period.
  • Mobile check-in and digital key access
  • Any redemption via app, kiosk, or outlets

No. All card usage and benefits will be suspended until the card is reactivated.

To reactivate your card:

  • Visit Genting Rewards Kiosk or approach any of the Genting Rewards Guest Services counter for assistance
  • Bring valid identification for verification

No. For security reasons, reactivation must be done in person.

Will I lose my Genting Points, eCash, or benefits?

No. Your Genting Points, eCash, and benefits will remain in your account when the Kill Switch is activated and your membership card is temporarily blocked from further use. Members are advised to activate the Kill Switch immediately if their card or account is suspected to be compromised. Any transactions or redemptions made prior to the activation of the Kill Switch will not be reversed or reinstated. All points, eCash, and benefits remain subject to their respective validity periods, and no extension of validity will be provided due to the activation of the Kill Switch.

To ensure a smooth redemption process, you are required to activate your PIN immediately before usage.

  • Activate the “GeM Activation”
  • Authentication - Choose one way to verify your identity via registered Mobile or Email. Enter the OTP sent to your mobile or email
  • Key in your preferred PIN. Your PIN must be 6-8 digits (numeric)

B. Visit any Genting Rewards Counter (open daily 24 hours)
 

Forgotten PIN number: Here is how you can reset your PIN number

  • Log into your account
  • Navigate to your profile settings
  • Locate the “Change PIN (GeM/e-CASH)” section
  • Authentication - Choose one way to verify your identity via registered Mobile or Email. Enter the OTP sent to your mobile or email
  • Key in your preferred PIN. Your PIN must be 6-8 digits (numeric)

C. Genting Rewards Self Service Kiosk

  • Choose your preferred language
  • Read and agree to the Personal Data Processing Statement
  • Insert your MyKad (Malaysian) or scan your passport (Non-Malaysian)
  • Remove your MyKad or passport when you are prompted to do 
  • Select “Update Profile & Reset e-CASH PIN”. Make the necessary changes to your personal information if any
  • Enter your new PIN number. Your PIN must be 6-8 digits (numeric)

D. Visit any Genting Rewards Counter (open daily 24 hours)
 

Update PIN from 4 digits to at least 6 digits: Please visit any of these facilities to update your e-CASH PIN to 6 digits on the spot

The PIN is a secret code that is selected by you to prove you are the rightful holder of the account under a Genting Rewards card. Your PIN must always be kept a secret and never noted down.

What is the PIN for?
You will need the PIN to verify certain transactions or activities in the resort, such as withdrawal, voucher redemption, point redemption transaction, and more.

How do the PIN-based point redemption transaction work at point-of-sale

STEP 1:

  • Physical Membership Card: Tap your Genting Rewards membership card at the point-of-sale terminal
  • *QR Code Based Membership: Log in and access to RWG App → Service provider scan your membership QR code at the point of purchase → Access to your digital membership
  • *Mobile Number: Provide your Genting Rewards registered mobile number at the point of purchase → Access to your membership number

STEP 2:

  • Securely key in your 6-digit PIN when prompted
