Maria Cordero is one of the most iconic and versatile artists in Hong Kong’s music scene, beloved for her rich and powerful voice, captivating stage presence, and multi-talented persona. Since her debut in the mid-1980s, she quickly rose to fame with her unique vocal style. In 1987, she performed the theme song “Strive for Happiness” for the Lam Ling-tung film Dragon Tiger Storm, propelling her self-titled debut album to gold certification within just 10 days and platinum sales in 20 days. In 1988, her signature song “Light of Friendship” earned her a Top 10 Chinese Gold Song Award, cementing her status as an irreplaceable voice in the Chinese music industry.Over the years, Maria has released 15 solo albums, with her influence extending across Hong Kong, Mainland China, and Taiwan. She has received numerous awards at home and abroad. In 1995, she was invited by U.S. President Bill Clinton to attend the Lotus Awards Ceremony, where she received the Asian American Outstanding Award. Her long-term dedication to public welfare has also been highly recognised: she was awarded the Medal of Honour and the Bronze Bauhinia Star by the Hong Kong SAR Government in 2008 and 2014, respectively. In the same year, she was conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Gastronomy by the University City of Saint Gabriel in Spain, acknowledging her outstanding contributions to culinary culture. In 2022, she was appointed as a member of the Political Consultative Conference in Meizhou, Guangdong Province, highlighting her significant influence in social and cultural advocacy.

Maria has also excelled in television and film. In the late 1990s, she joined Hong Kong Cable Television, hosting several popular programs including Fat Mama Phone Show, Fat Mama’s Family, Entertainment Hot Sale at 10:30, and Fat Mama’s Private Kitchen, the latter of which won the 17th Best Television Program Award from RTHK. Later, she appeared on TVB’s Zhong Nian Hao Sheng Yin as a judge, once again winning widespread admiration for her sincerity, professionalism, and approachable persona.

Beyond music and hosting, Maria has acted in over 40 films and published several best-selling cookbooks, becoming an influential figure in the culinary world. Maria is also deeply committed to philanthropy. She has continually inspired the public with her optimism and warmth, achieving excellence across music, television, culinary arts, and philanthropy, and earning her status as one of Hong Kong’s most respected and beloved cultural figures.

  • Every customer MUST enter the hall with a ticket, including children of all ages & infants.
  • The concert starts at 6pm sharp, so please be seated by or before then.
  • Late arrival may result in non-admittance until a suitable break in the performance.
  1. A standard child ticket rate is RM50. Children must be shorter than 95cm to be eligible for a child ticket priced at RM50 without a seat, while children taller than 95cm must purchase tickets according to the published rates.
  2. Each ticket includes admission for one (01) person and is applicable across all ages, including children and infants.
  3. The discounted rates published above are only available to a stipulated number of tickets and are subject to change without prior notice.
  4. Tickets are on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability.
  5. Tickets sold are NOT refundable or exchangeable.
  6. The Organiser shall not be liable and responsible for any loss or damage to the tickets sold.
  7. No third-party ticket collection is allowed unless an Authorization Letter, photocopy of the credit card that made the payment and credit card holder's NRIC/ passport is issued by the Purchaser and presented upon ticket collection on the event day. Failing to produce any of these documents, the organiser reserves the right to not release the ticket(s).
  8. The resale of tickets at the same or any price in excess of the initial purchase price is prohibited. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel tickets not purchased from rwgenting.com or other authorised points of sale listed on Resorts World Genting’s website only.
  9. The Organiser reserves the right to cancel any tickets that have been resold or used by third parties in connection with other promotions without a refund, and the bearer of the ticket may be refused admission.
  10. Strictly no video recording and photography allowed during the show.
  11. Video cameras, cameras and tablet computers such as iPads are not allowed in the venue.
  12. Lost or damaged ticket(s) will not be entertained.
