There’s so many things to do and experience at Resorts World Genting including an indoor and outdoor theme park, shopping, watching shows, trying out the incredible restaurants that you’ll have a hard time trying to fit it all into your calendar. After a day of thrills and fun, you might be looking to unwind at the mountaintop. You may not know that there are charming and under-the-radar outdoor spots perfect for quiet escapes and scenic wandering. Here are some lesser-known outdoor hangouts worth exploring:

1.  Talking Garden

This is one of the most picturesque spots at the resort, but it’s so hidden that not many people actually know about it.

Just head behind Genting SkyWorlds hotel and you’ll find this small landscape garden which overlooks the valley of Genting Highlands. If you’re lucky, you can see all the way to Kuala Lumpur on a clear day.

Here, there’s a hedge maze, a fountain, gazebos, and public benches nestled among flower bushes and plants. Enjoy the view!

Opening times: 10:00 am to 5.30pm (until 7.00pm on Fridays)

2.  Petron Genting Highlands

Including a petrol station on this list may seem strange, but this petrol station is actually a favourite amongst car enthusiasts who frequently make the drive up to the mountain. At night, because of the mist and red and blue neon lights, the place looks like something out of a sci-fi movie.

Take the opportunity to snap some images for the ‘Gram too.

3.  Cradle Rock

event-rwg

Just a short wander from Chin Swee Temple, this natural rock outcrop offers dramatic cliffside views. From this amazing vantage point, you can see gorgeous views of KL city, the Klang Dam, and Batu Caves.

The rock gently sways with the wind—hence the name. It’s also the perfect spot for a photo opportunity, especially if you have a cool ride.

4.  Genting Grand Hotel’s Outdoor Car Park

Post-dinner, sneak up to the Genting Grand Hotel’s outdoor car park for stunning mountain-night vistas. But bring along a jacket because it will be chilly! The iconic “Y” shaped hotel aglow against a backdrop of city lights makes it a secret photo-worthy stop and there’s even a fountain in front.

Just take a breather here and feel the wind upon your face. Bliss.

This isn’t exactly hidden, but don’t miss out on this breathtaking spot within the Genting SkyWorlds theme park. At certain times, the waters of the fountain’s dance in tune with the lights for a mesmerising show.
