At 6,000 feet above sea level, Resorts World Genting offers more than theme parks, entertainment, and cool mountain air: it’s also an amazing global dining destination. From sizzling Korean barbecue to slurp-worthy Japanese ramen and beloved local street eats, your only problem when you’re visiting will be choosing what to eat! Here’s the countries and regions you can taste your way around the world without ever leaving RWG. Come hungry and let’s go!
Take a trip across the pond to visit a fantastic chippy! But this isn’t your ordinary Fish and Chips, ours is world famous. Tuck into the highest quality North Atlantic fish coated in crispy, fresh batter still made from Harry’s own secret recipe, and served with a side of tasty, double-cooked chips.
If you fancy some seafood that’s a bit fancier than fish, it doesn’t get any better than lobster! London’s cult-favourite dining concept is also available at Malaysia’s beloved mountaintop destination. The menu keeps things simple but indulgent; think juicy, perfectly grilled burgers made from supreme halal-grade beef from Australia, live lobsters air-flown from Nova Scotia served steamed or grilled with lemon-garlic butter, and the iconic lobster rolls nestled in buttery brioche buns. Scrumdiddlyumptious!
We love our Ramly burgers, but we’d say that no country does burgers quite like America. Five Guys brings a taste of all-American fast food to RWG with its famous made-to-order burgers, hand-cut fries, and creamy and thick milkshakes. The retro, red-and-white diner vibes, and open kitchen add to the experience, making it the perfect pit stop for comfort food done the classic American way. They’re super generous with their fries too!
If you’re craving something spicy, this is actually one of this writer’s favourite chains for Thai fare. Don’t miss out on their signature Tom Yum Goong, Green Curry Chicken, and Pineapple Fried Rice that will transport you to the streets of the Land of Smiles.
Annyeonghaseyo! If you’re craving some meat and lots of it, this is the perfect place for you. Palsaik’s name, which means ‘eight colours’ in Korean, refers to their eight different marinades for pork belly: ginseng, wine, pine needles, garlic, herb, curry, miso, and hot pepper. It’s sure to be massiseoyo!
Visitors who head up to RWG frequently crave hot pot, and you can tuck into this guilt-free as it has broths like Beauty Collagen (pork bone slow-boiled for over 8 hours), Cooling Coconut, Herbal Drunken Chicken, Spicy Nourishing “Mala”, Longevity Wild Mushroom (vegetarian), and Vitamin C Tomato Sweet Corn. Plus, we love their pretty soft pastel pink and marble interiors.
RWG joined forces with Spanish chef Marta Alonso Garcia, founder of the beloved Marta’s Kitchen, to open La Fiesta by Marta’s Kitchen at SkyAvenue. The restaurant serves authentic, home-style Spanish cuisine inspired by Marta’s childhood in Salamanca, with produce sourced from Spain and Genting’s own farms. Guests can savour traditional favourites like paella (in four varieties), tortilla de patatas, gambas al ajillo, and croquetas de jamón, alongside platters of Iberico cold cuts, Serrano ham, and Manchego cheese.
Irasshaimase! Whether it’s the milky pork bone broth of Kyushu; the hearty, rich flavours of Hokkaido ramen; or even the increasingly popular no-broth mazemen, experience the distinct flavours of ramen from different regions of Japan.
When you think about Indonesian food, the first thing that comes to mind is Ayam Penyet, right? The menu features fiery favourites like Ayam Penyet Grand (smashed fried chicken), Bawal Bakar Kecap (roasted pomfret in sweet soy), Ayam Bakar Hunny, Daging Bakar Merapi, and Lele Gurih (crispy catfish), all served with sambals and tangy condiments that hit every spicy, savoury note.
When it comes to xiao long bao or soup dumplings, there’s no better place than Din Tai Fung. Each dumpling is handmade with thin, translucent skin encasing savoury broth and tender meat, steamed to perfection. Beyond dumplings, the menu features crowd favourites like spicy shrimp and pork wontons, fried rice with pork chop (this is so good and we never get bored of it), and noodles in fragrant sesame sauce.
Of course, we have lots of local fare for you to savour. Not only that, we’ve gathered the best hawker stalls from around Malaysia so that you can taste specialties from different states. This includes Char Koay Teow from Penang, Hon Kee Porridge from KL, and dishes from Melaka, Ipoh, and Kuching too!
