Nestled 3,100 ft above sea level, Resorts World Awana provides visitors with a change of pace away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Here, you'll find yourself surrounded by a 130-million-year-old rainforest and nature in its most pristine form.

But what's cool is that the four-star resort is easily accessible, located just 35 minutes from KL. Getting around the area is easy too — the resort is a mere two-minute drive from Genting Highlands Premium Outlets and there's a free shuttle service too.

Here's a closer look at the newly-refurbished Resorts World Awana:

1. Stay in newly-renovated rooms that are modern and comfortable

Resorts World Awana recently gave their Club Suite Room and Executive Suite Room a facelift. Visitors who book these rooms can enjoy its chic interiors, along with numerous facilities and amenities.

The Club Suite Room offers approximately 420 sq ft of space, with a sofa bed and dining table, ideal for two pax.

On the other hand, the Executive Suite Room is extra spacious at 580 sq ft. It's also ideal for two pax, and comes with a sofa bed and dining table.

2. Dine to your heart's content at two new makan spots, one of which features a farm-to-table concept, woah! :O

First up, AYU Awana is a new restaurant and poolside lounge, which showcases a special smokehouse and grill menu, regional dishes, healthy delights, and an extensive cocktail list. Whether you're craving for a poke bowl or a hearty steak, AYU Awana has got you covered.

Some menu highlights include The Malibu Sando, a brioche sandwich with scrambled eggs and caramelised onions, as well as their Smoked Pesca Platter, which features an array of smoked red snapper, haddock, and salmon.

Hotpot lovers will definitely enjoy Awana Garden, where diners get to experience an elevated halal hotpot experience, with farm-to-table vegetables as the highlight of each meal.

The vegetables served at the restaurant are sourced from the Atrium Greenhouse within the resort itself, while certain ingredients like wild tongkat ali are gleaned from the forest trails of Awana.

Of course, you can also look forward to premium soup bases. Don't miss out the Awana Gear Box Special, a nod to a local Malay favourite, which utilises beef bone marrow simmered for hours to extract the ultimate flavour for a hearty, meaty soup. Plus, they offer high quality meats, fresh seafood, and in-house pastes made with fish, squid, and prawn.

3. Enjoy a leisure game of golf at the 18-hole course
rwa

Resorts World Awana features an iconic 18-hole mountainous course perfect for avid golfers and casual enthusiasts alike. What's unique about the course is that it's surrounded by lush greens and year-long crisp mountain breeze, making it a refreshing experience every single time.

One of the highlights of the golf course is also the mountainous terrain that can challenge even the most seasoned golfers.

If you're staying at the resort, you'll get to enjoy a special discounted rate, yay!

*For the time being, the course is under renovation, but nine-hole games are still available.

4. Explore the rainforest and connect with nature
rwa

Most visitors to Genting Highlands may not be aware that it is home to a 130-million-year-old rainforest and all kinds of wildlife.

Discover the outdoors with Genting Nature Adventures, where you'll be immersed in the rich biodiversity of the tropical rainforest, and possibly discover natural wonders you've never seen before.

Get up close and personal with wild siamangs, beautiful tropical birds, and endangered highland pitcher plants. You can choose from the Awana Trail or Clearwater Way, and experience narrated guided tours as you hike through the trails. For children, they’ll also enjoy the ‘Nature’s Little Planters’ programme that will teach them how to plant seeds.

5. Take picturesque wedding photos and get married against the perfect backdrop of the misty highlands
