At the end of March, it will be time for the school holidays in both Malaysia and Singapore! If you’re worried how on earth you’ll entertain your children for so many days, not to worry, because we’ve got you covered. After all, children love visiting our premium mountaintop resort and you probably even grew up coming here during your school holidays back in the day. Here’s why we have a special place in children’s hearts:
Movie Worlds Come To Life At Genting SkyWorlds Outdoor Theme Park
Don’t just let the kids watch movies on their iPads all day long, our award-winning theme parks have massive and colourful rides and attractions at nine movie and adventure inspired “worlds”: Eagle Mountain, Central Park, Liberty Lane, Robots Rivet Town, Andromeda Base, Ice Age, Studio Plaza, Epic and Rio. The children can walk through the bustling neighbourhood of Santa Teresa from Rio or step foot into the pint-sized whimsical world of Epic. Get your tickets to Genting SkyWorlds here.
Indoor Fun at Our Theme Parks and Arcades
Besides our amazing outdoor theme park, there are endless fun options for kids indoors too.
• Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park: It spans 400,000 sq. ft. and has more than 20 rides such as a carousel, a Ferris wheel, and a bumper car arena so they can spend the whole day here. Get your tickets here.
• Genting Bowl: Live life in the fast lane, but with bowling. There are 20 lanes that glow-in-the-dark come night time. See if the kids can beat the adults and get a friendly competition going. Read more here.
• Vision City Video Games Park: Retro-style arcades are hard to come by nowadays, but we have a massive one filled with classic games like Pac-Man, Street Fighter, and Time Crisis 5. Read more here.
• Ripley’s Adventureland. Get up and close with dinosaurs from the prehistoric era at the Jurassic Research Centre or run for your life from the terrifying undead at Zombie Outbreak. Plus, Ripley’s Believe It Or Not is a one of a kind Odditorium with bizarre and weird items from around the world. Get your tickets here.
Fun Hotel Rooms
There’s something fun about just being in hotel rooms even if you aren’t doing anything, and we have special rooms designed just for the little ones.
• Our Sixers room at Genting SkyWorlds comes with a bunk bed, which is super-duper fun because kids feel like they are in a treehouse looking out. Plus, the rooms are decorated with fun doodles to capture their imagination. Book your room here.
• The Superior Deluxe Sixer at Resorts World Awana comes with not one but two Super Single bunk beds, and bean bags to boot. Book your room here.
Yummy Food Options Catered To Kids
While you might not want your kids indulging in sweet treats or fried food too often, they’re on holiday after all.
• They can sink their teeth into waffles, churros, and a mega long hot dog at Golden Gate Garage, Genting SkyWorlds.
• Try ice cream at Swensen’s which is shaped like a fictional aircraft with a bird’s eye view of Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park.
• Fish and chips at Harry Ramden’s, because it’s always a hit with children due to its crunchy texture and familiar sides.
• Burgers, chips, and milkshakes at Five Guys. There are hand-cut fries, made-to-order burgers, and creamy shakes to suit even the fussiest eater.
Family-friendly Entertainment
Our Genting’s Highland Heroes are a bunch of furry and fabulous friends comprising Tabby the Tiger, Allie the Elephant, Joe the Orangutan, Benny the Entertainer, Callie the Dragon, and Geno the Dinosaur. They add a touch of magic to your visit with a special mascot appearance at various locations throughout the week and kids go crazy over them. Check out the Meet & Greet timings here.
Plus, we frequently host special kid-friendly concerts and shows. Check our shows and events calendar for updates.
Cool Weather
The weather has been hot AND humid lately, but not so at Resorts World Genting. Here, there is a cool, spring-like climate between 15 to 25 degrees Celcius. Instead of feeling sticky and tired, kids can run around comfortably, enjoy outdoor rides, and explore attractions without feeling hot. For many kids, the misty atmosphere and sweater-worthy temperatures also add a touch of magic, turning a regular school holiday into something that feels almost like a trip abroad.
