Where did the name Crockfords come from?

Although Crockfords at Resorts World Genting opened in early 2018, you may notice the words ‘Est. 1828’. That year, William Crockford established Crockford's Club on prestigious St. James's Street in Mayfair, then the epicentre of British high society.Designed by some of the era's finest architects and celebrated for its lavish interiors and impeccable service, Crockford's quickly became one of Europe's most exclusive private clubs.

Throughout the Victorian era, Crockford’s name became synonymous with distinction, earning recognition across Europe for sophistication, exclusivity and exceptional hospitality. As society evolved, the name remained associated with high standards of service and refinement. Centuries later, in 2006, the iconic Crockfords brand became part of the Genting family. In 2010, the all-suite retreat opened at Resorts World Sentosa, our sister property.

A Legacy’s New Home
In early 2017, Crockfords opened its doors at Resorts World Genting, as the pinnacle of the resort’s luxury hospitality offerings. It offers approximately 140 carefully curated rooms and suites, with an experience that prioritises privacy, exclusivity, and personalised service.

Where is it?

Crockfords is a quiet wing with a discreet entrance on the other end of the bustling lobby of the First World Hotel. If you can’t be bothered to take the short walk, we have a butler to assist you with our buggy. However, it still offers guests easy access to Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park and the SkyAvenue lifestyle mall.

The Rooms

The Signature Suites: The Technogym Suite comes equipped with a high-end Italian gym system; the Tatami Suite features a Zen tea ceremony area within the living room; while the Mahjong Suite comes complete with an automatic, self-shuffling mahjong table and a massage chair.

There are 10 room types for you to choose from, with the largest being our Villa, spanning 2,900 sq ft with three bedrooms.

• All accommodations provide unobstructed views of the surrounding 130-million-year-old mountainous landscape.
• Plush 300 thread count Egyptian cotton bed sheets and linens
• Bathrooms feature Calacatta marble are stocked with exclusive amenities from London-based home goods brand The White Company.• The turndown service comes with a little care package consisting of lip balms and pillow mist to ensure a good night’s sleep.

There have been some exciting new additions to our hotel:

New accommodation offerings:

• Studio Suite: 540 sq ft unit with bespoke furnishings and a living room.

• Premier Suite: Spans 670 sq ft, including an expansive bathroom where you can luxuriate in a transparent bathtub as you look out upon splendid mountain views.

• Prestige Suite-Gym: An exquisitely designed 1,080 sq ft suite with cardio equipment for private workout sessions and a balcony for panoramic mountainscape views.

• Eden by Crockfords

Earlier this year, we introduced a lavish new dining destination. Guests can look forward to indulging in breakfast buffets during their stay, along with all-day dining. On the menu will be beloved international and locally-inspired dishes such as signature Home-Cured Gravlax (a traditional Nordic dish of cured raw salmon) and Mexican Wagyu Burger to Nyonya Curry Laksa. In the afternoon, stop by for a tête-à-tête over afternoon tea.

Every room provides complimentary 24-hour butler service. These professionally trained butlers are on hand to assist you with reservations, unpacking, and special room arrangements.

You might find surprises in your room prepared by our butlers, such as fresh fruit and evening turn-down treats. They can even help you if you’re short of a player at the mahjong table within your room, or get your favourite snack from KL delivered uphill.

The Awards

Just two years after opening its doors, Crockfords at Resorts World Genting achieved a historic milestone. In 2019, it became the first hotel in Malaysia to receive the prestigious Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star Rating—one of the world's most respected distinctions in luxury hospitality. Today, Crockfords proudly stands as Malaysia's one and only Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star hotel for eight remarkable years running.

Things To Look Out For

British artist Rebecca Louise Law created a permanent floral art installation called "The Four Seasons” featuring more than 150,000 hand-cut, preserved flowers across 60 varieties in the hotel lobby.
