Opening Ceremony

The opening ceremony was graced by Spencer Lee, Executive Vice President of Sales, Marketing and Public Relations, Resorts World Genting; Nigel Wong, President of the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA); and YBhg. Datuk Nor Yahati Binti Awang, Deputy Secretary General of Environmental Sustainability, Ministry of Natural Resources and Environmental Sustainability (NRES).

MoU Ceremony

A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Resorts World Genting and the Malaysian Association of Tour and Travel Agents (MATTA), marking a strategic collaboration to strengthen partnerships and promote sustainable growth in the tourism industry.

Panel Discussion

Six panel discussions were conducted, addressing key aspects of sustainability in the hospitality and tourism industry. Topics included strategies for decarbonizing operations, sustainable design practices, and the industry’s transition towards low-carbon and eco-friendly initiatives. The discussions also explored how to translate sustainability strategies into measurable impact, foster cross-border collaboration in sustainable food systems, and advance ESG certification to enhance competitiveness and promote long-term growth within the hospitality sector.

Keynote Session

The Business of Green – From Waste to Value, presented by Arthur Huang, explored how businesses can transform waste into valuable resources through innovation, circular economy practices, and sustainable business models that drive both profitability and environmental responsibility.

Future Forward: Sustainable Innovation Challenge

Supported by Sustainable Food Asia, this pitch competition aimed to transform co-creation ideas from Sustainable Food Camp 2025 into real-world sustainable products. The three winning teams, IMYORASA, My Health My Choice, and Triple A, participated in the initiative, which showcased the spirit of cross-border collaboration as companies from different countries worked together to create innovative solutions for a more sustainable food future.

Innovative Showcase by Exhibitors

A variety of companies showcased creative and sustainable solutions, highlighting technologies, products, and practices that promote innovation and environmental responsibility within the industry. Supported by sponsors Solarvest, Malaysia’s leading integrated solar provider, and E-IONS, a pioneer in ionized water technology, the showcase reflected a shared commitment to advancing sustainability and innovation across the sector.

Networking Night

An evening gathering held at Park Avenue Lounge, where participants enjoyed dinner while having the opportunity to socialize and network. The event provided a relaxed setting for guests to connect with industry leaders, speakers, and professionals, encouraging meaningful conversations and the exchange of ideas within the hospitality and sustainability community.

Genting Nature Adventures - Awana Trail

The guided tour offered participants an immersive experience in the natural surroundings of Resorts World Awana, showcasing the area’s rich biodiversity while promoting environmental awareness and appreciation for sustainable eco-tourism.
