Among its latest pioneering initiatives is the Genting Electronic Money (GeM), introduced in 2021 as a fuss-free, safe, and convenient way to make payments when you are at Resorts World Genting. Going cashless on your trip means that you no longer need to risk carrying potentially contaminated banknotes or having to worry about losing your wallet. You might also save time from having to cash out at the register, as your payment is quickly deducted by a ‘tap and go’ concept!

Your GeM (Genting Electronic Money) would give you access to most services you expect to enjoy on your visit to Resorts World Genting. These include paying for hotels, flying on the highlands’ iconic cable car, dining, and most definitely, getting entry tickets to popular attractions such as the Skytropolis Indoor Theme Park and more!

There are currently more than 30 participating outlets and service providers where you can use your GeM (Genting Electronic Money) card! This list will grow from time to time as we work on expanding the benefits of your GeM (Genting Electronic Money) card – stay tuned for more.

 

How to start paying with GeM (Genting Electronic Money)

When you purchase a travel package containing free GeMTreats, you will also receive your GeM (Genting Electronic Money) card for free! Once you have your GeM (Genting Electronic Money) card, simply present it to a participating outlet when you’re ready to make a payment.

What are GeMTreats?
GeMTreats stand for “Genting Electronic Money” (GeM) Treats. Your GeMTreats contain monetary value that you can use for making a transaction at selected outlets/ service providers at the resort. Each GeMTreats is equivalent to RM1.

How to get GeMTreats?
Currently, GeMTreats are included with selected packages when you book direct with us. 
 

Where to purchase GeMTreats package?
You can purchase packages with GeMTreats at the Hot Deals and GeMTreats webpage.  
 

How will I receive my GeMTreats?
Your GeMTreats will be loaded to a GeM (Genting Electronic Money) card, which you will receive upon check-in. Please check-in at a kiosk located at the hotel lobby and present your check-in slip to the designated hotel reception counter to receive your GeM (Genting Electronic Money) card. 
 

How do I use my GeMTreats?
When making a payment, present your GeM (Genting Electronic Money) card to the participating outlet/ service provider. All participating outlets will display a signage at their premises. You may also click here to view the full list. Your GeMTreats are valid after you’ve checked-in and will expire on the day you’ve check-out. 
 

I do not have sufficient GeMTreats to complete a purchase.What should I do?
You may make up for the balance with another GeM card or through payment by cash, debit or credit card. 
 

Can I convert my GeMTreats to cash?
No. GeMTreats may be used only for making a transaction at selected participating outlets/ service providers. 
 

How do I check my GeMTreatsbalance?
Your balance will be printed on the receipt when you make a transaction. You may also log in to your GeM (Genting Electronic Money) account using any iKiosk at the resort to check your balance. 
 

Do my GeMTreats have an expirydate?
Yes. GeMTreats are valid only in the duration of your stay and will expire on the day you’ve check-out. Any unused balance will not be refunded. 
 

Can I keep my GeM (Genting Electronic Money) card?
We encourage you to keep your GeM (Genting Electronic Money) card for use in your next holiday. GeMTreats for your future trip can be loaded to the same card, so you do not have to queue for a new card the next time you visit. Please note that GeMTreats for any trip will expire on the day you’ve check-out. 
 

I’ve lost my GeM (Genting Electronic Money) card. Whatshould I do?
You may request for a replacement card at a Genting Rewards membership counter for a small fee. Please report the loss as soon as possible to avoid an unauthorised use of your GeMTreats by a third party. We will not reimburse your GeMTreats in the event that your original card is picked up and used by someone else.

Apa itu GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting)?
GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting) ialah e-dompet yang mengandungi nilai prabayar kewangan yang boleh anda gunakan untuk membuat pembayaran di outlet kedai terpilih atau penyedia perkhidmatan di resort. Untuk setiap RM1 yang anda tambah nilai ke GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting), anda akan mendapat satu (1) GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting).

Bagaimana cara untuk menerima GeM saya (Wang Elektronik Genting)?
Anda boleh menambah nilai GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting) melalui kiosk tambah nilai dan/atau perbankan dalam talian (FPX).

Tambah nilai GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting) hanya boleh dalam Ringgit Malaysia (RM). Mata wang asing TIDAK diterima.

(I) Kiosk

  • Kad GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting)
    Anda dikehendaki membeli Kad GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting) bersama-sama dengan jumlah tambah nilai awal sebelum anda boleh mula menggunakannya. Selepas tambah nilai awal, sejumlah RM2 sahaja akan ditolak sebagai deposit yang boleh dikembalikan. Deposit yang boleh dikembalikan adalah caj sekali sahaja dan tidak terpakai untuk transaksi tambah nilai berikutnya.

  • Kad Ganjaran Genting
    Anda boleh menambah nilai baki GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting) ke Kad Ganjaran Genting anda. Tiada deposit yang boleh dikembalikan akan dikenakan.

  • Aplikasi Mobil Resorts World Genting 
    Anda boleh menambah nilai baki GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting) melalui perbankan dalam talian (FPX) melalui Apl Mudah Alih Resorts World Genting. Tiada deposit yang boleh dikembalikan akan dikenakan.

Bolehkah saya membeli lebih daripada satu Kad GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting)
Ya, tertakluk kepada RM2 yang akan ditolak daripada tambah nilai awal dan dipegang sebagai deposit yang boleh dikembalikan untuk setiap pembelian Kad GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting).

Jika saya sudah mempunyai Kad Ganjaran Genting, bolehkah saya membeli Kad GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting)?
Ya, tertakluk kepada RM2 yang akan ditolak daripada tambah nilai awal dan dipegang sebagai deposit yang boleh dikembalikan untuk setiap pembelian Kad GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting).

Pertama sekali, muatkan wang tunai ke dalam kad Genting Rewards anda atau log masuk ke aplikasi mobil Resorts World Genting. Apabila melawat outlet kedai kami yang mengambil bahagian, pilih untuk membayar dengan GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting) untuk mendapatkan Mata Ganjaran (GP).
 

Berapakah amaun yang boleh saya tambah nilai kepada GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting)?
Sila rujuk kepada Terma dan Syarat penuh yang dipaparkan di kiosk GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting) apabila anda melakukan transaksi tambah nilai.

Bagaimanakah cara untuk saya menggunakan GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting)?
Apabila membuat pembayaran menggunakan GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting) di outlet kedai atau pembekal perkhidmatan yang mengambil bahagian, anda mempunyai pilihan berikut:

(I) Kad GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting) atau Kad Ganjaran Genting
Langkah 1: Serahkan Kad GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting) atau Kad Ganjaran Genting anda kepada outlet kedai atau pembekal perkhidmatan yang mengambil bahagian.
Langkah 2: Sentuh Kad GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting) atau Kad Ganjaran Genting anda di terminal pedagang.

(II) Aplikasi Mobil Resorts World Genting
Langkah 1: Lancarkan aplikasi mobil Resorts World Genting anda
Langkah 2: Tekan pada ikon "Bayar" dan masukkan PIN anda
Langkah 3: Kemukakan Kod QR kepada outlet kedai yang mengambil bahagian atau terminal pedagang pembekal perkhidmatan

Semua cawangan yang mengambil bahagian akan mempamerkan logo GeM (Wang Elektronik Genting) di premis mereka.

Is a Personal Identification Number (PIN) required?
GeM (Genting Electronic Money) Card does not have a PIN.

If you are an existing Genting Rewards member, you are required to enter the PIN of your choice when you perform GeM (Genting Electronic Money) transactions and retail purchases at PIN-enabled terminals.

(I) Genting Rewards Card 

  • Top-up GeM (Genting Electronic Money)
    A PIN is NOT required.

  • Claiming back unutilized GeM (Genting Electronic Money)
    A PIN is required for any amount.
  • Spending at participating outlets/ service providers using GeM (Genting Electronic Money)
    Entering your PIN is only required for transactions of RM250 and above

(II) Resorts World Genting Mobile App

  • Top-up GeM (Genting Electronic Money)
    A PIN is NOT required.

  • Spending at participating outlets/ service providers using GeM (Genting Electronic Money)
    Entering your PIN is only required for transactions of RM250 and above.

I do not have sufficient GeM(Genting Electronic Money) balance to complete a purchase. What should I do?
You have the following options:

(I) Top-up at any kiosks displaying “You can top-up GeM (Genting Electronic Money) here!”; or

(II) Top-up through online banking (FPX) via Resort World Genting mobile app; or

(III) Pay such difference or balance in cash, credit card, and/ or any other payment modes that are accepted by the participating outlet or service provider.

How do I claim back my unutilized GeM (Genting Electronic Money) balance?
You may claim back your unutilized GeM (Genting Electronic Money) balance at any designated kiosks displaying “You can refund GeM (Genting Electronic Money) here!”. If you do not claim your unutilized GeM (Genting Electronic Money) balance within two years from your last transaction date, the unutilized GeM (Genting Electronic Money) balance will expire and no refunds will be entertained.

How do I check my GeM (Genting Electronic Money) balance?

You may check your GeM (Genting Electronic Money) transaction history and balances from:

(I) Any kiosks displaying “You can top-up GeM (Genting Electronic Money) here!”; or

(II) Resorts World Genting mobile app; or

(III) Receipts with the latest GeM(Genting Electronic Money) balance are shown when you make a GeM (Genting Electronic Money) transaction.

Does my GeM(Genting Electronic Money) have an expiry date?
Yes. If you do not claim your unutilized GeM (Genting Electronic Money) balance within two (2) years from your last transaction date, the unutilized GeM (Genting Electronic Money) balance will expire and no refunds will be entertained.I’ve lost my GeM (Genting Electronic Money) Card. What should I do?

There is no replacement of the GeM (Genting Electronic Money) Card and the unutilized GeM (Genting Electronic Money) balance will not be refunded to you.

I’ve lost my Genting Rewards Card. What should I do?
You may request a replacement card at any Genting Rewards membership counter for a small fee. Please report the loss of the card as soon as possible to avoid misuse of your GeM (Genting Electronic Money). Any loss of GeM (Genting Electronic Money) as a result of the misuse is not recoverable.

Can I keep my GeM (Genting Electronic Money) Card?
You can keep your GeM (Genting Electronic Money) Card. Please note that any claim for unutilized GeM (Genting Electronic Money) balance is subject to the expiry date as stated in the FAQ above.
