About the Promotional Vouchers
  1. What is a promotional voucher?
    The promotional voucher is aimed at promoting the facilities offered by Genting Malaysia Berhad (formerly known as Resorts World Bhd).

    The promotional vouchers were sent together with the 2008 Annual Reports to a targeted group of customers, that is the shareholders of Genting Berhad, Genting Malaysia Berhad (formerly known as Resorts World Bhd) and Genting Plantations Berhad (formerly known as Asiatic Development Berhad) whose names appeared in the Register of Members/Record of Depositors on the respective date
    stated below:-

    (a) shareholders of Genting Berhad whose names appeared in the Register of Members/Record of Depositors as at 18 May 2009;

    (b) shareholders of Genting Malaysia Berhad (formerly known as Resorts World Bhd) whose names appeared in the Register of Members/Record of Depositors as at 18 May 2009; and

    (c) shareholders of Genting Plantations Berhad (formerly known as Asiatic Development Berhad) whose names appeared in the Register of Members/Record of Depositors as at 15 May 2009

    These vouchers carry with them a unique serial number that signifies the company's name. For example, GBFXXXXXX represents Genting Berhad, RWFXXXXXX represents Genting Malaysia Berhad (formerly known as Resorts World Bhd) while ADF represents Genting Plantations Berhad (formerly known as Asiatic Development Berhad).

     

  2. I am a WorldCard member. Can I have the promotional vouchers?
    The promotional vouchers were only given out to the shareholders of Genting Berhad, Genting Malaysia Berhad (formerly known as Resorts World Bhd) and Genting Plantations Berhad (formerly known as Asiatic Development Berhad).

     

  3. I have not received my promotional vouchers. Where can I get them?
    You may contact the Share Registrar, Genting Management And Consultancy Services Sdn. Bhd. located at 24th Floor, Wisma Genting, Jalan Sultan Ismail, 50250 Kuala Lumpur. Alternatively, you may email your request to
    wengwoh.low@genting.com stating your CDS account details, full name, NRIC and mailing address.


About online room booking

  1. Can you show me how I can make my online booking for the promotional vouchers?
    To place your bookings with the promotional vouchers, simply follow the online guide HERE. This guide can also be found at the promotional voucher online room booking web page.
     

  2. Why didn't the system accept my promotional voucher serial number?
    This could be due to a number of reasons as follows:

    • Did you key in the serial number correctly? Alphabets followed by the numerical numbers with no space in between. There should be 3 alphabets followed by 6 digit numbers.

    • That particular promotional voucher may have already been used.

    • That particular promotional voucher may not be entitled to that room you are booking for. In the event none of the above applies, please write-in to egwc@genting.com stating the voucher's serial number as well as the nature of the error message so our technicians can ascertain what went wrong. This will also help us to better assist you.

  3. I received an error message saying that my serial number has already been used, but I have not used this particular voucher yet? How is this possible?
    You will need to check with your family members or whomever that could have access to the vouchers to see if they had used them to make a prior booking. If this is not the case, please write-in to egwc@genting.com stating the serial number for further assistance.
     

  4. Can I change my original room booking date to another date?
    Changes are permitted only on a case by case basis, but under normal circumstances, the answer is no as this will void the serial number. Please check to make sure that your booking details are correct as once the booking is confirmed, you would not be able to change it.
     

  5. Can I book the room(s) for someone else?
    The Hotel front desk will only permit check-in if the name of the person making the booking is the same person checking in. Thus, if you make a booking for a family member under your name for example, you will need to be present to check-in.
     

  6. I am a WorldCard member, how do I make my booking?
    As you are already a WorldCard member, you can make your booking by selecting the 'WorldCard Member' button. Just key in your WorldCard member ID and PIN to access your particulars.
     

  7. Can someone else make the room bookings for me using my promotional voucher serial numbers?
    Yes, they can do it provided they have your particulars. However, we do not recommend this method as it may compromise your privacy and security.
     


About booking through phone / WorldReservations Centre (WRC)

  1. I have tried calling so many times to book my rooms and yet I can't get through. Is the phone line working at all?
    Yes, the phone lines are working, but if WRC receives too many calls, it will congest up the phone lines and prevent your call from going through. You can choose to continue trying to get through, or alternatively choose a more convenient method by using our online or SMS avenue to book your rooms.
     

  2. I was told by your WorldReservation Centre staff that my serial number has already been used. Can I know who used them since they belong to me.
    In cases like this, please write-in to egwc@genting.com stating the voucher's serial number so we can perform a transaction check. Each complaint of similar nature will be handled on a case by case basis.
     

  3. I had earlier booked my room by phone with WRC and I would like to change my booking date, can I do so online?
    Changes are permitted only on a case by case basis, but under normal circumstances, the answer is no as this will void the serial number. Please check to make sure your booking details are correct as once the booking is confirmed, you would not be able to change it.
