Resorts World Genting Wins Again
At The World Travel Awards:
Malaysia’s premier integrated resort voted
‘Asia’s Leading Casino Resort’ &
‘Asia’s Leading Family Resort’

(RWG), Asia’s leading integrated resort, was once again voted as
Asia’s Leading Casino Resort for the fifth consecutive year and was
also voted as Asia’s Leading Family Resort for the third consecutive
year at the World Travel Awards 2010 (Asia & Australasia) Gala
Ceremony which was held on 14th October 2010 at The Claridges
Surajkund in Delhi, India.

finest resorts and have emerged victorious. Even more so when the
acknowledgement came from as many as 185,000 peers and professionals
from the leisure and hospitality industry”, said Mr Kevin Sim,
Executive Vice President of Genting Malaysia Berhad (GENM), after
receiving the awards.
GENM is the owner and operator of Resorts World Genting, one of the
exciting and vibrant ‘Resorts World’ integrated resorts (IR) within
the Genting Group. The other IRs are Resorts World Sentosa in
Singapore and Resorts World Manila in Philippines.
He added, “These awards were made possible through the combined

Resort annually. These awards have inspired us to consistently

The World Travel Awards has been labeled as the ‘Oscars’ of the
travel and tourism industry by the Wall Street Journal. It was
initiated in 1983 to encourage world-class competition in the travel
and tourism industry. Its purpose is also to incite creativity and
innovation among industry players besides ensuring that the quality
of service and standards are of exceptional levels. Winning a World
Travel Award has become one of the highest accolades that can be
received by those in the industry.
