Over 80,000 People Ushered in the 2010 New Year
at Resorts World Genting
 

 Genting Highlands, 1 January 2010 – Over 80,000 visitors ushered in 2010 at Resorts World Genting this evening. At the stroke of midnight, the visitors were treated with 10 minutes of dazzling fireworks courtesy of Resorts World Genting – The Fun City Above The Clouds.

Present at the New Year countdown and fireworks display sessions were YBhg Tan Sri Sidek Hassan – Chief Secretary to the Government，YB Senator Datin Paduka Chew Mei Fun - Deputy Minister of Women, Family & Community Development, Kevin Sim – Executive Vice President of Genting Malaysia Berhad, Dato Anthony Yeo – Senior Vice President of PR & Communications, Edward Arthur Holloway – Senior Vice President of Hotel Operations, Katherine Chew – Vice President of PR & Communications together with other management members from Genting Malaysia Berhad.

Meanwhile, Taiwanese artiste Wu Bai & China Blue also ushered in the New Year with their fans at Genting’s Arena of Stars. The countdown party which started with the DJ spinning at 9pm attracted more than 5,000 fans. The excitement heightened when Wu Bai & China Blue appeared on the stage for their performance and later countdown the New Year together with their fans.

In conjunction with the New Year celebration, arrays of sumptuous buffets were also offered at all the Restaurants here. Visitors were spoiled by the selections of buffet spread at Coffee Terrace and First World Café. Set menus were also specially created to welcome the New Year at The Olive, Ming Ren, Imperial Rama (non-halal) and Elite Palace (non-halal).
