Tsai Chin returns to Genting again, having been here in March 2008.
The legendary songstress is known for her rich vocals and sharp,
funny persona.
She
made history during the peak of her career in the ’80s, when she
dominated the Chinese pop culture in Taiwan. Having made her debut
over 30 years ago, and releasing over 40 albums and singing in both
Mandarin and Taiwanese (Taiwanese Hokkien), Tsai Chin is still
active in the music industry.
The
many awards that she has received through the years include the
Taiwan Jinding Award, Golden Melody Award, the Hong Kong Top 10
Chinese Golden Songs Award and the Most Outstanding Artiste in Asia
Award from the CCTV-MTV Music Awards in 2005. Her hits, such as 'Cha
Se Ni De Wen Rou' (Like Your Tenderness), 'Jui Hou Yi Yeh' (Last
Night) and 'Ni De Yen Ching' (Your Eyes) have remained hot
favourites among music lovers throughout Asia. |
