The legendary and hugely popular Teresa Teng may have left us some 14 years ago but her influence, status and name still lingers around till today. Her songs are still being played and will always bring back memories of yesteryears. Her voice and songs are instantly recognizable in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Japan. She was known for her folk songs and romantic ballads, most of them reached classic status during her lifetime. Few artists can lay claim to the achievement and fame Teresa enjoyed back in the 70s and 80s. Among the pop princess' more famous songs include 'I Only Care About You', and 'Tian Mi Mi', which is still a karaoke favourite now. Teng died from a severe asthma attack while on holiday at the age of 42.

On the 21st of June 2009, the Teresa Teng experience was relived again when Delphine Tsai took the stage at the Arena of Stars for a tribute to Teresa.

Delphine Tsai Xing Juan, is a renowned singer and host from Taiwan. She is known for her Chinese folk songs and has a soft and sweet vocal that resembles the late Teresa Teng, hence she adopted the name “Little Teresa Teng”. Delphine was nominated twice in the Taiwanese Golden Melodies Awards and the TV singing variety programme that she hosted had won the Taiwan “Jing Zhong” Awards three continuous times.
